Happy New Year In Fine Fettle readers!
I always think it’s a good idea to start the new year off by first appreciating what things you have accomplished the previous year. Here are some of my top highlights via 2019:
Travel
(London)
(Chicago)
(Hiked the Sleeping Bear Dunes)
(Family wedding in North Carolina)
Graduated College/Accepted my first nursing job in the Detroit ER
2019 was so good to me but I am really excited and so ready to see what God has in store for 2020. Time really does not ever seem to slow down but rather continues speeding up the older that I become.
After graduating college you think that study stops there… but not when the career you decide on is anything medical. (They really aren’t kidding when they say that you want to be a nurse, you decide on being a continual learner.)
As of now I still have to pass my nursing boards (hopefully by the end of January) before I will become an official registered nurse. So I spend most of my time right now STILL studying.
I am also in the midst of finding my new home up in Michigan and then I am off to start my new job February 10th.
Since so much has changed and it has been a while that I have given you guys much of a life update I wanted to take today to do just that.
I don’t have much else for you guys rather just to first, thank those of you who have supported me in this journey. Friends, family, strangers maybe even… I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for your love and encouragement.
Second, as life continues to change rapidly in these next few months and I start to settle into my new place I continue to ask for your support and your prayers.
I would be lying if I said that moving into a new house by myself, new state, and starting the job I dreamed of having and worked towards for 4 years doesn’t freak me out a little bit.
This is probably the most scared I have felt in a long time but God continues to take me by the hand and remind me how little my fears are compared to how big He is.
If 2020 has already started bring you fear or anxiety I want to leave you with a few of the verses that I have been repeating to myself daily…
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Sending you all my love and praying for blessings over you.
Heres to letting 2020 be our year!
I also wanted to leave you guys with a little HITT workout that I did today just incase maybe one of those NYR was to get back to the gym 😉

until next time,
xoxo
